MARTIN LEBEL

Maintenance Analyst

Introduction to Aviation

A native Montrealer, Martin LeBel attended technical college and trained as a machinist. At 22, he had an opportunity to join Bombardier.

“I started out as a clerk in the computer integrated maintenance management systems (CIMMS) group and quickly realized that I wanted to be a maintenance analyst,” explains Martin. He got his wish and began working on Bombardier Challenger 601 and 604 aircraft.

“I spent 15 years in that role, focused on the maintenance tracking of Bombardier Challenger 600 series aircraft. It was a great experience but eventually I was ready for a change.”

New Beginning

In 2015, Martin joined TRAXXALL.

“I was TRAXXALL’s first aircraft maintenance analyst and one of about six employees at the time. We had the energy and enthusiasm of a startup, except we weren’t kids! We were all industry veterans and senior managers with at least 15 years’ experience.”

“Our team of aircraft maintenance analysts brings a lot of experience to the table. It makes all the difference. Our competitors sometimes lack that depth of knowledge. Our people have real expertise with all major OEMs. Not many companies can say that…”

Different Way of Doing Things

“Our clients have dedicated aircraft maintenance analysts and we pride ourselves on being very responsive – measuring our turnaround times in minutes and hours. This creates a major advantage for TRAXXALL. Managing customer relationships takes time and effort because it’s built on trust. For me, it’s very rewarding because I get to know my customers and build long-term relationships with them.”

The majority of TRAXXALL analysts focus on specific aircraft makes and models. But, as one of the company’s most senior employees, Martin continues to support a cross section of aircraft. “Some of our clients operate mixed fleets but wish to have a single analyst dedicated to their account. If that’s the case, we can do it.”
