Born in Colombia, Paola Gonzalez’ family moved to Miami, Florida when she was six years-old. She went on to study Travel and Tourism at Miami Dade College. After graduation, Paola began working at Kellstrom Industries as a Technical Records Analyst.

Managing Huge Inventory

“I spent 12 years at Kellstrom – it was my introduction to aviation,” explains Paola. “We were essentially brokers selling aircraft engine components. That’s where I first learned the importance of impeccable inventory management. We had tens of thousands of warehoused parts and needed to trace the life of each part ‘from birth’ in order to prove its integrity and establish its resale value. This was the early 2000s – the pre-digital era! Information was stored on paper cards. Accurately managing and accessing thousands of cards was a full-time job.”

In 2011, Paola relocated to the Jacksonville, Florida area and began working at SkyBOOKS, a Textron Company, as a Records Analyst before being promoted to Account Representative.

“My first reaction at SkyBOOKS was: Where’s all the paper? Everything was now digital. Clearly, this was a big improvement. Also, since we were largely focused on the maintenance tracking of Bell Helicopters at that time, it was the beginning of my specialization in rotorcraft.”

“As I moved into a client-facing role and as a native Spanish speaker, I focused on the Mexican and South American markets. At peak, I was responsible for overseeing a mixed fleet of about 130 aircraft.”

In 2016, Paola joined TRAXXALL’s Jacksonville team.
